Greetings from Ann Arbor, Michigan! I've been adjusting to my new schedule as a PhD student at University of Michigan, and my days are filled with statistics, personality psychology theory, and feminist research methodologies. As much as I miss San Francisco, I am enjoying the slower pace of a small town. I am able to walk to class and downtown in under ten minutes, and I no longer hear the sound of the bus as a fall asleep at night. There is something wonderful about living in a new place that is so different than where I grew up. I am, however, not looking forward to the impending Michigan winter.
(But my heart is not too far from San Francisco because I will be returning home in three weeks for Annalise's wedding).
This outfit is absolutely gorgeous!! I love this skirt, it's so beautiful and looks so wonderful with that lace top!! Your classes sound so amazing, I hope you're enjoying them xJennaD
you look soooo so cute! I love that cropped lacy blouse so much. Whenever I stayed in SF overnight I couldn't believe the noise and the shaking windows! I definitely prefer small towns I think haha Can't wait to see more of Michigan!
Good luck with all of your Phd work--that is so exciting! What are you studying? Also these photos are making me cry, it almost seems like fall weather will never come to socal (somehow it keeps getting hotter??)
These photos are GORGEOUS! So glad to see you are settling in nicely. I am very impressed that you got such good blog photos in while starting your Phd work! Keep the beautiful fall pictures coming, and good luck :) xo Hannah
Oh I love this and the place where you took these pictures! I'm glad you're enjoying your new town too.
This outfit is so pretty and perfectly autumnal. I love your fascinator and that absolutely gorgeous cropped blouse. I wish I had one like it! I just love everything about this.
Great to hear your settled in and enjoying the small town feel. I studied in a college town and I loved bumping into friends often because it was just so small. I love your outfit and that fascinator is amazing.
that top is beautiful, as is your headpiece! congrats on moving away and starting a new chapter! is this your first year in the PhD program? I just started my third year working on my own doctorate in chemical engineering, and that first year before the qualifying exam? it was a little rough, but seriously, once you make it through that you can make it through anything :) (I'm only saying this because no one gave me any warning about how crummy the courses that first year tend to be, and that it is much smoother sailing there on out!)
